The ILARGIA european teachers league 

(Ligue internationale pour l'innovation pédagogique et la coopération) was created in Saint Jean de Luz by some teachers at the end of an Erasmus+ partnership made between France, Italy, Latvia, Romania and Turkey, in order to disseminate best practises and manage new transnational activities with teachers and experts (managers, lecturers, headmasters....) from different countries. The association is open to all good will people from everywhere .

Main goals are to publish a webzine and to organize some international seminars and/or training sessions but also to help people to keep in touch in order to prepare new partnerships !

L'Association Internationale ILARGIA a été créée en France le Samedi 28 avril par un groupe de professeurs du second degré venant de cinq pays différents : 
Italie, France, Lettonie, Roumanie et Turquie.

Suite à cette Assemblée constitutive, ses statuts ont été déposés auprès de la sous-préfecture de Bayonne en mai 2018... Il s'agit donc d'une association de droit français, mais ouverte à des adhésions individuelles internationales.

Les buts de l'Association sont exposés dans ses statuts (résumé en Français dans la page accessible dans la colonne de droite) ; elle cherchera par ailleurs à valoriser le patrimoine local et à faire de Saint-Jean-de-Luz un centre de réflexion contribuant activement à l'élaboration et au partage d'idées et de méthodes innovantes en matière de pédagogie.

Un bureau (provisoire) de trois membres a été constitué 
(MM Vanderplancke et Puyjalon et Mme Zetea ayant été élus à l'unanimité des présents)

L'association a fixé son siège à la Cité Scolaire Ravel avec l'accord de M Jean-Michel Garcia, Proviseur du Lycée-Collège, que nous remercions très chaleureusement pour son soutien moral et concret.

ILARGIA is an acronym. But also a joke.
 Its sense may be "International League of teachers Associated for Reuse of Genial Innovations and pedagogic Activities"...

Ilargia means "Death Lantern" in Basque language and  was the name of a pedagogic project (eTwinning) then an event planned during a partnership cofunded by the European Commission 
from 2015 to 2018....

On a choisi de rappeler le mot ILARGIA dans l'intitulé de l'association en mémoire d'un projet de partenariat stratégique Erasmus+ qui a rassemblé tous les fondateurs de l'Association et est donc indirectement à l'origine de la Ligue.
